Our Fret Bending Roller takes the tedious job of bending fretwire and makes it quick and easy.
It's superior design also allows the roller to be reorientated to straighten bent wire. This feature is especially useful when you need to use a type of fretwire in a flat fingerboard but the fretwire only comes bent or coiled.
The sturdy frame is constructed from thick aluminium and the bending roller and ball-bearing guides are made from hardened steel.
A fine tuning adjustment allows the radius to be changed to precisely fit any fingerboard. To find the correct radius put a 150mm (6") length of fretwire through the roller and then check the radius and adjust the roller until it is perfect.
It is recommended that the fretwire be a little 'overbent', that is a little more curved than the fingerboard, this will help keep the ends of the frets down when they are installed.
The device can be clamped in a vice during use or permanently screwed to a workbench or other solid surface.
