There are four main types of Tunematic (or Tune-o-matic) bridges that have been used on Gibson® guitars and other brands over the years. The easiest way to find which bridge will suit your guitar is by visual inspection and by checking the inserts that go into the body of the guitar to anchor the bridge.
Tunematic with standard posts – Has thin 4mm dia threaded posts and thumbwheels for height adjustment
Tunematic with studs & bushings – 7/16” (11.2mm) dia bushings push into the body, threaded studs screw into these to attach the bridge
ABR-1 Tunematic – Has thin 4mm dia threaded posts like a standard Tunematic, the original bridges have a retainer wire to hold the saddles in place
Nashville Tunematic – 9/32” (7.1mm) dia bushings push into the body, threaded studs screw into these to attach the bridge
