Acoustic guitar humidifier
- Humitron by RDM
- Helps prevent cracking
- Helps keep humidity in an acoustic guitar above a minimum level
- Flexible, soft rubber
When the air humidity around an instrument is below 40% the timber in a guitar will shrink and cracks will occur. A humidifier will help keep the humiditity level inside the instrument up, to prevent low-humidity cracking.
Instructions - Immerse the humidifier in purified water and squeeze excess water out. Dry the surface of the humidifier and place the humidifier inside the instrument (through sound hole). Only use when the humidity is below 40%. Take the humidifier out once the humidity level in the environment around the guitar rises above 40%.
Local humidity levels can be checked with an accurate humidity guage and will change with time of day, weather condition, season, latitude, location and climate control (air conditioning).
